Total area of the parish is 64 km2, and it is bordering with the parishes of Vāne, Kabile, Abava, Kandava and Zemīte. The parish is restricted by two rivers - Abava and Amula,and crossed by the third – river of Imula.
Population: 667 (data from 31.01.2018).
The parish contains a doctorate, post office, Culture House, library and a shop LLC Vītoli AMI.
There are several big farms in the parish, the main employment – agriculture and farming.
Culture: commonly celebrated are all the national countrywide festivals and sports events. As a tradition has become the Easter celebration in Graviņas, which contains the traditional run around the hill Baznīckalniņš, and an amateur theater premiere during the annual Latvian Summer Solstice festival Jāņi. Local audiences willingly attend concerts, theater performances made and performed by the inhabitants of the parish.
Amateur collectives: amateur theater, European dance group “Alianse”, children dancing group and vocal ensemble.
